Which version of the software am I using?
Why measure body weight?
Previous versions of our software measured body weight behind the scenes and mostly worked well, however for certain sports such as golf or baseball players tend to move around before hitting the ball. This could result in erroneous body weight measurements.
Whenever we collect force data, we want to relate it to the person producing the forces.
Data validity is really important to us and our users, and in order to further improve the data analysis we provide, a quick body weight measurement before starting a session is necessary in order to prevent potential body weight related inaccuracies.
With the new body weight measurement functionality you will need to stand still for a few seconds at the beginning of a session. Once measured the result is stored and valid throughout a session for the selected user.
You will need to re-measure if the session is stopped, or if you change users.
Body weight is not displayed anywhere explicitly unless click the "Bodyweight" drop-down menu.
This requirement only applies to customers with force plates such as: Dual Motion Plate, Motion Plate, Dual Force Plate, or single Force plates.
How to perform the body weight measurement
This process begins automatically as you enter capture mode. Stand still for a few seconds and the measurement is automatically stored to the user for this particular session.
We recommend to perform the measurement with the club / bat in hand, and to redo the measurement if you change clubs or bats.
Measuring body weight
It's important that your plate configuration is setup properly and the plates are working in order for the measurement to work as intended.
Body weight measurement is done from capture mode. It's important the user performing the activity is the one performing the weigh in.
- The measurement will begin automatically. It's important to stand still otherwise the procedure takes longer to complete.
- Measurement is complete, the dialog window will disappear automatically. You can now record.
- It's possible to edit the body weight for each recording or redo the measurement from the drop-down menu.
