Introduction
Requirements
- Computer with an available USB port.
- Swing Catalyst 21.4 and a valid license that has support for Dual Pressure Plate
Get started
Use the QR code on the back of the welcome card you received with the plates or click here to register your plates. After registering, you get an email which you calibration file as an attachment, this file is needed to get started in Swing Catalyst.
You can also run a manual calibration of the dual pressure plate by downloading the calibration utility here and follow the guided steps to generate the calibration file.
Save the .mxd file in a folder of your convenience and start Swing Catalyst.
Start Swing Catalyst
Open the Swing Catalyst software and register your license in "General settings" and "License Configuration".
In settings, navigate to "Hardware" in the left margin. The Dual Pressure Plate should be automatically detected.
Press "Configure" --> "Stance sensor" --> "Browse and Install" --> locate and select the .mxd file you saved and click "Open"
If necessary, use the "Flip & Rotate Devices" tab to make sure that the pressure heat map reflects the golfer's feet and center of pressure.
Placing the plates
To get correct represenation of your pressure data, it is important to make sure that the plates are placed correct in relation to each other.
Make sure that:
- The cables are placed behind the golfer
- That the plates are placed so you can read "Swing Catalyst" from the face on right camera angle
Using the custom stance width
Different clubs require different stance widths. With our improved Pressure and Stance settings you can be sure to always record swings with the correct stance width.
With the protection mat as a foundation, you can choose to place the plates
- Together - choose 'Narrow' in settings
- At the outer edges of the mat - choose 'Wide' in settings
- Custom distance - measure the distance between the edges of the plates
